Ever since she was old enough to remember, Sue always had pens, pencils and a pad of paper in her hand. Having tried her hand at many jobs and after a break for children, she has returned to her first love – Art.

Having read an article about wet felting, suitably intrigued, and unable to find any local classes, Sue taught herself. She was immediately hooked with this method of ‘painting with wool’. As she got more experienced she introduced freestyle stitching to her pieces and started to hand dye fleece to add texture.

Using locally sourced, rare breed fleece is important to Sue. There’s a certain satisfaction to collecting fleece straight from the sheep, washing it, hand dying it and transforming it into beautiful artwork.

She takes her inspiration from nature & the beautiful countryside that surrounds the area that she lives.
